Observation 2- Bethani NEW TOPIC

1. I found this ad that represents how verbal abuse is just as hurtful as physical abuse. In this picture, the man has his mouth open, as if he is yelling at the woman standing next to him, and coming out of his mouth is an arm pulling the woman's hair in an abusive manner. This picture was trying to symbolize how verbal abuse is painful and scary without even having to be touched abusively. At the bottom of this advertisement, the writing reads "Verbal abuse can be just as horrific. But you don't have to suffer in silence. Call the Aware Helpline for advice and support...." This picture is very representative of the problems many people are facing in their relationships. The man is the head of this relationship because the picture makes the woman seem so helpless.
2. This ad represents the effects of verbal abuse compared with actual physical abuse.
3. How alike are these two types of abuse? Is it fair to even relate these types of abuse together?
4. The advertisement that represents how verbal abuse is very much alike to physical abuse tries to address to the viewers that there is not much difference between the two. Both are destructive and hurtful to the other person and being verbally abused should not be tolerated, just as physical abuse shouldn't be.
5. What types of relationships will these types of abuse effect? Why does this problem need to be addressed in more in this country?
6. In the advertisement used to represent how verbal and physical abuse are very much related, the picture describes just that. It suggests that when someone is yelling in a destructive manner, that it can very much be considered abuse if not dealt with. Men and women both should not have to face this type of abuse. Many people today deal with it because they don't consider it a type of abuse, but given, there is a difference between yelling and abusing.
