For my research paper, I well be discussing and examining the visual rhetoric in the "Austin Powers" trilogy. I will discuss how he portrays the attitude of the era of "free love", the English culture, and the parody of spy movies. Mike Myers' character, Austin Powers works to caricatures the culture of all three of these aspects through witty rhetoric in all three of his movies, and I will pick apart what message was truly meant behind the movies, and how he achieves it.
The sources I will use will include the movies themselves, Myers' personal reactions in interviews, magazine articles, scholarly journal articles, and web sites. I will use them to further examine the intent of Myers, and his portrayal of the times he made a satire out of. I will also take a closer look specifically at the movies to examine the things he emphasizes and brings to the forefront the most. I also will take a closer look at the subject of Myers' humor, and what he is actually poking fun at.
Although there are no lack of allusions throughout "Austin Powers", which are both obvious and discrete, I believe it will be tough to absorb all the information and make sense of it. It will be tough for me to categorize the ins and outs of the movie, and be able to make sense of them in a free flowing, coherent manor in my paper. I will have to thoroughly organize my paper or else it could easily turn into a mess of information that does not make much sense.

I really like your topic because I love those movies so your topic is very interesting in my opinion. The topics you are chosing to focus on will add alot to your paper, possibly bringing a different aspect of the movie that a viewer wouldnt have recognized on their own. One thing about all three movies that is very obvious is the topic of "sex". So, you probably could talk about how much that topic influences the characters because of the time period. The sources seem great and I can see why you chose certain things to be difficult for your paper.
